The pace here leans towards thoughtful enjoyment rather than rush. It’s a place where the familiar comfort of home-style cooking meets the polished care of attentive service, making it equally welcoming for solo diners seeking solace in a bowl of laksa or groups sharing the vibrant layers of rojak and satay. The warmth in the room is reflected not just in the dishes but in the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, encouraging a feeling of being well looked after without fuss.
The menu feels like a curated journey through Singapore’s rich, multicultural food heritage—tender chicken paired with fragrant rice, a broth thickened with stories of coastal kitchens, or desserts that bring a playful sweetness to a satisfying meal. It’s not just about feeding hunger but about discovering textures and tastes that prompt quiet smiles—like the buttery richness of pandan cake or the refreshing chill of coconut ice cream that lingers long after the first spoonful.
Chatterbox manages to create an experience that gently bridges the gap between the friendly familiarity of a well-loved neighborhood eatery and the polished ease of a thoughtfully curated dining destination. Here, the joy is found equally in the shared moments around the table and the artistry gently woven through the flavors.

It was a great experience! We went for the chicken rice for a good cause - part of the proceeds goes to selected charity beneficiaries. We left with a full tummy and warm hearts. Food was great! Chicken was tender, soft and juicy! Hokkien mee was superb with wok hei and lots of fresh seafood! Service was great too! Crew was attentive and kind! Din manage to catch the names but kudos to them! Thanks!

This is definitely the place to bring someone who can’t handle the grungy-ness of hawker centers but is keen on trying Malaysian/singaporean food. Every dish were well cooked with balanced flavours. The chicken rice was ok as it wasn’t one of the best I’ve had. All dishes were presented cleanly and service was very attentive. Very comfortable setting and environment wasnt loud so you can converse with ease.

We had a family gathering and birthday celebration at Chatterbox, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The food was consistently very good — we especially enjoyed the rojak, satay, laksa, chilli prawns, and beef hor fun. Everything was flavourful and well executed, and the dishes were perfect for sharing. Service was also a standout. One of the waiters, Leslie, was particularly impressive — he gave thoughtful food recommendations, was very attentive to details throughout the meal, and maintained a warm, positive attitude that really enhanced the experience. He made our celebration feel special without being intrusive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great food and genuinely good service.

Holy Moly what a great dinner! There’s no way it’s only rated 4.1!!! All the dishes are delish. All the dishes are delish. I repeat. Chicken rice is as good as it should be. Bah Ku Teh tastes wayyy less oily than Song Fa’s or any popular stalls out there. The laksa is so so so creamy and flavorful, i think it’d be my fancy favorite besides an everyday one at Katong laksa. Even the rojak here had me getting my chopsticks back to the plate all the time though i thought I never liked the dish. And the chendol??? Best chendol ever with zero doubt!! The guala malacca they use is really yumm, I devoured the whole bowl within like 2min. It may not be the most authentic or nostalgic Singaporean restaurant. But to a foreigner like me who’d like to think she’s visited a good number of local stalls, I’d still really recommend both local ppl and visiting ppl to come, for a feast of Singaporean food that’s pure delight. (Yes that’s how good this place is )

One of the most must-try restaurants in Singapore for local and tourists. Chicken rice down here is just famous that everybody would like to taste at least once. It’s juicy and crispy melting in your mouth. The rice is just as good. One more interesting dish is the Lobster Laksa!! This is an unbelievable tasty Laksa I’ve ever eaten. Bukkute is just nice. Their signature dessert which is singapore sweet is so rich and thick in taste. The last order will normally end at 9.45pm. I recommend you to make a prior reservation thru website or else you need to come early for walking queue.

Great food, service and atmosphere! Good for business meetings or just family dinner. Shout out to mikk for the awesome food, dessert and cocktail recommendations. Chicken rice was delicious as we had 3 dips to enjoy our tender chicken in. Sambal squid was surprisingly good too. Ended our dinner with a refreshing coconut ice cream - will recommend. Overall a great experience will come back

5/5 stars for Chatterbox at Hilton Orchard Singapore! My dining experience was truly exceptional. I opted for the premium set meal and it was the perfect way to enjoy their elevated local cuisine. Every course, particularly the local dishes, was magnificent. I was so impressed not only with the authentic flavour but also the impeccable presentation, each plate was a work of art. The cooking execution was flawless; everything was perfectly tender and seasoned. The accompanying red wine pairing was thoughtfully selected and complemented the rich flavors of the food beautifully. Chatterbox successfully elevates Singaporean favorites into a luxurious culinary journey. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

Finally tried this “atas-looking” chicken rice place that’s been reviewed all over, and I can see why it gets so much attention. The presentation is really on point — everything is nicely displayed and very presentable. It definitely feels more premium compared to your usual chicken rice stall, and all the sauces you’d expect for chicken rice are provided, which is a nice touch. The chicken itself was very tender and nicely done. The cucumbers were also different from the usual — not those thin, watery slices you normally get, but chunkier pieces that actually had a good bite. Small detail, but appreciated. The rice was okay for me. It was nicely cooked, fluffy, and not oily, but I was expecting it to be more fragrant. Not bad at all, just didn’t quite hit that super aromatic chicken-rice level. The soup was a bit unusual though — it had some vegetable shreds in it, which made it feel more like a light vegetable soup rather than the traditional clear chicken rice soup. Personally found that a little odd. Overall, still a solid chicken rice experience. The taste is good, and the presentation and environment really elevate the whole meal. Definitely a nice place to bring overseas guests if you want to impress them with a more polished, comfortable setting while introducing them to local food.
